Three ovals of brown mother-of-pearl drop graciously from a simple, 14K gold vermeil ear clasp. At the very bottom, three tiny sterling baubles finish the drop. Mother-of-pearl comes from the iridescent lining of seashells, and the brown variety used here, is more rarely seen. So smooth and pleasing to touch!
The designer is Joie Jager of Soixante Neuf, whose work has been celebrated in WWD and In Style. Joie gets press and celebrity attention every time she comes out with something new, and these earrings are no exception. Earring measures an extra-long and sexy 5 1/2"L.
About Gold Vermeil: This process is a very fine electroplating of gold upon precious sterling silver metal. Finish will stay fresh and gorgeous so long as you gently cleanse this piece, never using any harsh chemicals. (Of course, this is good advice for ALL your fine jewelry.)
